Kyoya: Never mind that. Shall we do something else, since we have the chance?
Haruhi: Huh? Something?
Kyoya: Like... men and women do?
Haruhi: Huh?! Why are you turning the lights down?
Kyoya: You can pay for the flowers with your body. You say that being a man or a woman doesn't matter. As a man, I could go after you at any time... And as a woman, you couldn't stop me. It may be time to rethink your naiveté? Acting natural is all well and good, but it's a mistake to keep your guard down.
Tamaki Voice-Over: Until you admit your mistake...
Haruhi: *thinks* Oh... Kyoya, you wouldn't do this. You... have nothing to gain from going after me, right?
Kyoya: *chuckles as he gets up* True. Right on the mark. You are quite interesting. But do you understand?
Haruhi: Yes. You are trying to be kind. I get it.
Kyoya: *pause* What do you mean?
Haruhi: Isn't that what you were trying to show me? You played the villain to teach me, right?
Kyoya: *pause*
Tamaki: *knocks and opens the door* Kyoya, do you have lotion and stuff? My sunburn stings... *sees Kyoya and Haruhi* Kyo...
Kyoya: *pushes lotion into Tamaki's face* Here, take the lotion. I'm going to go over the plans for tomorrow. *exits and thinks* He needs so much help. But will this resolve matters? *remembers Haruhi's smile, and smiles in turn* "Nothing to gain..." Ha... *chuckles as he walks away*

Kyoya: What?
Haruhi: Um... you sure go at your food, don't you? I just expected you'd be a little more refined... and I'm surprised you actually like the food.
Kyoya: I don't like this food. But do you think I'd be so inhuman as to complain after you treated me? That's a rude assumption.

Kyoya: Tamaki and I have nothing in common.
Haruhi: *thinks* Eep! He's psychic too?
Kyoya: But if you are wondering why we're friends, the answer is simple. There's mutual benefit in our acquaintanceship. Nothing else would motivate me.
Haruhi: Tamaki would be devastated to hear that.
Kyoya: He wouldn't. He already knows that, you see. We all knew it when we teamed up... Hikaru, Kaoru... Hunny, and even Mori. We only hang out together because we all benefit from it. Oh well. There are some things you aren't aware of, that's all.
