Ayame is the top female student in her year and class. She is every inch the scholar and has maintained third place among the second-years. Above all, she hates noise, rain, and her classmate, Tamaki Suoh. She doesn't understand how an idiot like Tamaki can place second when she studies all the time. In the end, she doesn't fall for Tamaki's smooth words, though she does become a regular customer.
Misuzu Sonoda
First Appears: Volume 5/Chapter 18
Real Name: Isao
Age: 42
Appearances:

Misuzu is the owner of a pensione in Karuizawa. He is a flamboyant cross-dresser, who is a friend of Ranka's (Haruhi's father) from work. He doesn't make enough to be able to hire employees yet, so he hired Haruhi because she said she didn't need to be paid much. In much later chapters, it's revealed that he has a daughter.
Arai
First Appears: Volume 5/Chapter 19
Appearances:
V5/C20
Arai went to the same middle school as Haruhi. He is bright but shy, rather normal, and is on the soccer team. He used to have a crush on Haruhi. He even confessed to her and asked her out, but she mistook his words for something else. He took the fact that she didn't recognize what he was saying as a sign of rejection. He has since gotten over her (kinda), but he is glad to see and talk to her again. He works at Arai Grocery (his uncle's shop) in Karuizawa as a summer job. He is rather forgiving, since he doesn't let Hikaru's rude behavior phase him.
Kirimi Nekozawa
First Appears: Volume 5/Chapter 21
Age: 3
Grade: Pre-school
Kirimi is the sister of Umehito, the president of the Black Magic Club. She has never seen her older brother. She is very much afraid of the dark. The female servant, Kuretake, tells her tales of princes first from fairytales, then from shojo manga. Kirimi has only seen Umehito's portrait and mistakes Tamaki for her older brother. Eventually, she finds out the truth. Though her brother can't approach her without the cloak, she can tell who he is by Bereznoff.
