Yasuchika is the Karate Club captain, and also part of the Judo Club. He is much more restrained with his emotions than his older brother. He takes his role as a Haninozuka very seriously, and is disciplined about sports and education. He is a perfectionist and hates anything sweet. To distinguish himself from his brother, he wears glasses, which are actually not needed. Yasuchika gets easily worked up over his brother, and is also repulsed by how cute Hunny can act. He thinks it's disgusting, and is so freaked out that sometimes Hunny seems like an alien to him. He wears glasses to avoid losing his cool, but also so that Hunny will appear blurry to him (they're prescription lenses). Despite what he says and how he acts, Yasuchika seems to respect Hunny as a martial artist, and after Hunny praises his growth, he is almost overwhelmed with emotion. When Yasuchika starts to tear up, little birdies appear around him. It only lasts for a quick moment as Yasuchika bats them away and resumes his cool expression.
Yasuchika is loathed to admit it to anyone, especially his older brother, and so hides his love for little fluffy birds. He acts tough and uncaring, but there seems to be more similarities to Hunny than he cares to admit.
