Episode 15 - Karuizawa Refreshing Battle

Summary: It's time for summer vacation! Which, for Haruhi, means that she can work at Misuzu's (her father's friend's) pensione part-time while quietly studying during her free hours. At least that was the plan before the Host Club dropped in.
After checking up on her situation in Karuizawa, the Host Club decides to stay too, much to Haruhi's chagrin. However, there's only one guest room left. What does that mean? A friendly competition of course!
The participating hosts will work for one day at the pensione, and whoever makes the most favorable impression on Misuzu gets the guest room. Kyoya watches from the sidelines and easily foretells the results. But to make the competition more interesting, he decides to help out Tamaki.
But even Tamaki's beautiful piano playing, which attracts several guests, is not enough to win against the power of brotherly love. Especially after Kaoru gets a bit hurt protecting Haruhi from a falling vase, and Hikaru rushes in to see if he's all right. Hikaru's near-panic and concern over his twin, while Kaoru reassures him, wins the competition for the Hitachiin brothers. They pretend like it was all an act, but it's only when the twins are alone that they reveal their vulnerability.
But the next day brings a new surprise - who's Arai and what's his relationship with Haruhi?

Manga Version:
• Antoinette, Tamaki's dog, makes her second appearance.
• Instead of just one phone, Tamaki is actually talking to the Host Club members from four different phones at the same time. He talks on one while laying the other three in front of him on the desk.
• In Tamaki's fantasy about Haruhi, he's actually wearing clothes instead of just a sheet around his waist like in the anime. XD;;
• Kyoya's personal staff - three bodyguards - make another appearance.
• As a way to get refreshing points, Tamaki plays with his dog Antoinette. But then the twins get her to come over and play with them, and they get the points instead.
• Instead of Hikaru, Kaoru is the one who asks Haruhi if she wants to sleep in their bed. He asks Haruhi this when he's alone and Hikaru's off fetching the garbage bag. This is also the time when Kaoru tells Haruhi that he and Hikaru never had any friends, etc.
• When the guests open the window, the window itself actually falls down, not a flower vase.
